Again, for my game on Saturday Afternoons, I am doing portraits for important NPCs. Artemis herself, is an important NPC for the party. She finds herself as a bit of a supplier of Jobs for them, and she got them into The No Man's - a city build out of ancient ruins and a last chance settlement for Thieves, Murderers, and all other sorts of criminals that the rest of the major city states of The World That Remains' wont take.

Artemis herself is a sky-pirate, and a captain at that, running a group of pirates named The Contemporaries. Her group of pirates fights against the winged nobility of the shattered world and tries to make a less than legal attempt to bring about changes in society regarding classism. As much as her intentions in this are good, she is still a criminal - stealing, raiding, and killing from nobleman's elite guarded ships if she feels she needs to.

Some people of the party are more wary of her - even if she hasn't done anything to them, others trust her maybe a little too much having only spoken to her a handful of times, so it is definitely an interesting dynamic between the whole group. She's also found out during the last session that the party at the very least believes that they are on a mission to save the world, whether she believes that's true or not she knows that they do believe it. There still are several things about Artemis herself that the party hasn't learned yet, and I look forward to them learning more about their piratical employer.

Its still fun to remember that originally she was my character for a crime based Dungeons and Dragons game, too. I liked her so much that I knew I would have to bring her back at some point. :3
